Travel Essentials

Today I take my little salon family on our second staff trip to Austin! I'm so blessed to be in the position to not only share my love and pride for my home state, but to give my team the opportuinty to grow as artists. While the salon is closed from today through the 24th we are thrilled to bring back the latest in color, cut & style tips and trends from the Behind the Chair Vision Show.

Inspired by this trip I wanted to share my favorite travel essentials in hopes that it will make your next trip a little more fabulous.

My essentials

Hidrate Water Bottle: This was a gift from my amazing boyfriend Steve and it has changed my life! Working 10+ hour shifts, I constantly find myself going without water and my skin and energy reflected it. This smart water bottle syncs with an app on my phone and sends me reminders throughout the day regarding my water intake. It sets daily goals based on my location and activity level - I can only imagine what the goal is going to be when I get back home to 100 degree weather. Being the competitive person I am, I'm constantly trying to beat my goal and you can also follow your friends and compete with each other, I'm watching you Teeter's family!!

"I'm outta here" Bando Passport Cover: Not only is this passport holder completely on brand for the salon, it makes it easy to grab in my huge bag while going through security.

Death Valley Dry Shampoo by R&Co: Let's face it, I'm on vacation, I'm going to style my hair once and add layer upon layer of dry shampoo the rest of the week. This dry shampoo is one of my favorites because it comes out clear and smells like bergamont, wild fig, lotus flower and cedar wood; basically you smell like a beautiful fairy dancing in the woods. It also gives your hair that beautiful Briget Bardot (for my Texas girls) or Jon Bon Jovi (my Jersey Girls) easy, big, messy hair. #signmeup

"I got 99 bobby pins and I can't find one" emergency kit: Seriously, my life mantra! This cute little old school BandAid tin is literally filled with 99 bobby pins! The amount of hairstyles I can do with this tin saves me from unecessary hair washing and time wasting.

Pastel Pink Viral Shampoo: My signature color is pink and I use it all throughout my salon branding. In order to keep my tresses consistently vibrant in my signature shade I use this handy travel size color depositing shampoo.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera: Vintage style memories & pink. This is an obvious choice!

Joico K Pak Lustre Shine Mask: Our guests know this is our number one recommended hair mask. It leaves the hair super shiny, locks in the color and literally transforms your tangles into smooth butter the instant you put it on. This convenient size contains about 3 uses and is TSA friendly.

I'm Real Tony Moly Face Mask: Air travel wreaks havoc on your face, the change in pressure dehydrates and tightens the skin. Once I've checked into my hotel, I completely unpack my bag because I'm OCD, remove my make up and jump in bed with a sheet mask.

Snacks: After completing several Beetoxes with my dear friend Michelle’s organic meal service Busy Bee Organics I became more aware of the importance of eating smart and frequently. When I fly I prepare myself for success by packing nuts, fruits, protein bars and my favorite Chef Michelle creation Buffins. These protein packed muffins are gluten and dairy free and give me energy for hours.

All of my favorite travel essentials are always available at the salon (excluding Hidrate Water Bottle & Fujifilm Instax Camera) - mention this post to receive 10% off any of these products!
